This product can help for
It is non-digestible oligosaccharide that cannot be digested by human digestive enzymes. It is a tri-saccharide composed of galactose, glucose and fructose.
The raffinose is extracted from the molasses of the sugar beet root. Sugar beet accumulates sugar in ints cells to prevent form freezing when the ambient temperature decreases.
When we take raffinose, it is not broken down by human digestive enzymes, so it is not digested and absorbed, passed through the stomach and small intestine to the large intestine, and energy(caloreis) is not generated.
Raffinose that has reached to the large intestine can be used as an energy source for beneficial intestinal bacteria such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, can decompose it.
Through these activities, Raffinose can help the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestine and suppression of harmful bacteria, and it can also help to active bowel movement.
In the clinical trial of functional raw material raffinose(10 healthy adults aged 23-56 years), a significant increase in beneficial bacterial was confirmed.
※ Clinical trial results don’t apply equally to all people.

International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP) define prebiotics, “Substance used selectively by microorganisms to have a beneficial effect on health”.
Especially, prebiotics for human intestine is defined as;
Prebiotics that are generally well known and studied include oligosaccharides such as inulin, fructooligosaccharides and galactooligosaccharides.

Why gut health is important?
There are more than 100 kinds and 10 trillion of bacteria in human intestine. These bacteria live together with the food we take, the ratio of beneficial and harmful bacterial in the intestine is very importance to maintain a healthy intestine. In other words, a healthy gut can be maintained only when desirable intestinal flora with more beneficial bacteria and fewer harmful bacteria is established in the intestine. However, when the normal flora is disrupted cause of diverse reasons, it can impair the function of intestine.
Human intestine
There is avariety of microorganisms in human intestine. The intestine of healthy people have a high content of lactic acid bacteria, which are beneficial, while harmful bacterial multiply in the intestine of unhealthy people. Beneficial and harmful bacteria are balanced in a certain ratio in the intestine. However this ratio can be changed depending on the ingredients of the food you take, antibiotics, stress and environmental condition changes. If harmful bacterial prevail in the intestine for various reasons, the absorption of various nutrients may be inhibited, and harmful metabolites may be released to the body, which may threaten health.
